From my experience, information about tournaments seems to get scattered between multiple sources. This is my attempt to try and aggregate all the information I have about Smash 64 at Pound 2016 into one place.
Pound 2016 is the continuation of the Pound series. It is being held at the Ritz Carlton at Tysons Corner in McClean, Virginia. The tournament will run from Friday, April 1st to Sunday, April 3rd. Check in opens at 12 p.m. on Friday and the venue will be open 24/7 until Sunday night. The event will be streamed on two of the top streamers on the east coast: VGBootCamp and DCeSportsLANs.
Some stream schedule highlights for Smash 64 include: Doubles Top 8 will be streamed on DCeSportsLANs starting at 6 p.m. and running until 8 p.m. on Saturday, Singles Top 32 until Top 8 will also be streamed by DCeSportsLANs starting at 8 p.m. until their completion on Saturday. The main event, Singles Top 8, will be streamed while you eat your breakfast, so grab your coffee and join us at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning until 2 p.m. over at VGBootCamp to see who will emerge victorious. For more information on the event you can view the full schedule
The Smash 64 community will also be holding a Salty Suite on Friday night starting around 8 p.m. It will be held at The Cave Gaming Center and streamed by The Cave. Some of the highlights include a Civil War Crew Battle pitting the Maryland and Virginia Smash clubs and another entry in the BarkSanchez versus Fireblaster rivalry, a $20 money match where Barks wily Pikachu will face off against the troublesome Yoshi of Fire. Check out the Salty Suite’s Facebook page and the full schedule if you are looking for more information.
